Why do non-profits need endowment funds?

Donations made to endowment funds help produce stable annual funds for non-profit organizations. Endowments serve as the financial bedrock, taking the pressure off organizations who previously relied solely on donations. In addition, endowments can provide the funds to promote fundraising efforts leading to increased contributions and benefits to the community they support.

2017 Annual Appeal

We are excited to report our annual appeal was a huge success! With your help, we surpassed our goal and received over $80,000!! Thank you to all who is committed to enriching the greater South Haven area! You are making a difference.

Launched! Three New Endowments

We’ve partnered with Al-Van Humane Society, Historical Association of South Haven and South Haven Center for the Arts to launch three new endowment funds. Donations made to the non-profits’ endowments will have long lasting impact on the organizations ability to provide cultural, educational and economic contributions to the Greater South Haven area.

The Historical Association of South Haven is committed to preserving South Haven’s rich history. Funds raised will result in future grants to help preserve the historical past of South Haven, particularly the many collections and artifacts collected since HASH’s founding in 2002.

The South Haven Center for the Arts actively creates youth programs for the community’s artistically centered students and will utilize funds to continue to develop programs which promote art appreciation in the community.

Al-Van Humane Society is the area’s only no-kill shelter. Funds raised will continue providing food, shelter, care and eventually forever families for the community’s lost and/or abandoned pets.
