During the 2015 Fall and 2016 Spring grant sessions, the SHCF’s Grant Committee considered a record number of applications. Nearly $30,000 was awarded to area non-profits, with a focus on the areas of education, visual arts, performing arts, recreation, information and community health. The Committee conducted personal interviews with several applicants to gain increased understanding of their objectives and processes, a practice that will be expanded in the future. The next grant session is Spring 2017. Grant applications should be submitted by April 15th.
